Since its founding in 2001, PRC has worked with over 200 public radio organizations ranging from first time station owners to the largest, multi-channel public radio station owners in the country. With a mission to protect, innovate, finance and expand public radio services, PRC broadens the reach of public radio in communities nationwide.

PRC’s experienced staff members help public radio organizations prepare for sustainable growth, acquire channels to reach additional listeners, and secure favorable financing for new public radio stations. PRC has completed $142 million in radio transactions for public radio organizations, securing public radio access for 30 million people nationwide.

By collaborating with visionary individuals, organizations, and foundations, PRC creates and manages projects to strengthen local media ownership. For example, with support from the Calvert Foundation, Ford Foundation, NFF, and NPR, PRC recently launched the Public Radio Fund to provide public radio organizations with affordable short-term capital for financing public radio channels.
