PRC provides a full range of services for buying and selling public broadcasting assets.

Public Radio Buyers

PRC represents public radio broadcasters interested in purchasing additional stations, and community groups interested in acquiring their first station.

To this end, PRC identifies acquisition options, helps the buyer assess the value of the station to be purchased, and handles the confidential negotiations with the seller of the station.

Then, PRC works with the buyer to develop the documents required for the acquisition, including the letter of intent and asset purchase agreement. PRC provides advice about financing options, and assistance as needed with the due-diligence process and FCC filings. More

Public Radio Sellers

PRC represents organizations that decide to sell public radio stations. PRC's services include exploring options for selling, developing and managing the selection process, evaluating proposals, and closing the sale. PRC works to find an optimal solution for the seller and the community that is served by the station. More

"When we first started thinking about increasing the service capacity of Chicago Public Radio, we didn't know how to begin acquiring new stations. PRC got our organization ready to move. Initial results are in and with the assistance of PRC, we have already added service by purchasing a radio station in Northwest Indiana and beginning to operate Loyola University's noncommercial radio station in Chicago."
